im having enrichment in school now..through to the 2nd day..my enrichment is basic pilot training, a simulator to the real flying experience.. $100 for a 3 day training (not that I have much choice whether or not I can take part in this)
I realized that it's such a chore to be a pilot! it requires one's eyes to acquire a wide viewing range, that of the size of a housefly. you have to control lots of buttons and radars and meters simultaneously.. seriously exhausting your brain power. Out of millions of tries I had managed to properly and safely land twice, unscathed and still in one piece.haha..
im beginning to appreciate pilots..haha.

watched PHANTOM OF THE OPERA yesterday night,19th May 2007!!! it was awesome! we sat in the very front row from where you can just lean forward and peep down to the opening between the stage and audience to see the ochestra below! we interviewed and asked them d most ridiculous questions but they didnt seem to mind.. and we ended up with autographs from them n i got one from the conductor too! XD
anyway.. back to the show..the PHANTOM was so cool! His voice was incredible and I love the costume props and costumes! they were all so intricately made, i bet it must have cost them millions or even billions for this production. The production was directed by Harold Prince and it contained Andrew Lloyd's famous and stirring music.
Now the song Angel of Music is stuck in my head. But all in all, it was an experience to behold, something i would cherish and hope not to forget even when my hair was grey and wrinkles dominate my forehead. The excitement, the adrenaline, the humour and the suspense. A perfect blend of music, dance and drama.
When the chandelier fell, i almost wished for a mishap to happen, be it a broken string, crushing the audience below (which means me, because i was sitting right below where the chandelier fell) or the performers to dance or walk a few seconds later and hence messed up the whole routine. It would be interesting, wouldnt it?
I was really impressed by the section when Christine was on the boat in the river on her way, it all looked so real, the boat moved so smoothly it looked as if it's really floating on water, and the lined candle holders make it look as if the boat is moving nearer to the audience. As one of the forunate few, i got to see them in great detail, so i know that they did it by aligning the candle holders in different height, they were able to adjust according to height. it's kinda hard to explain.. haha..
the phantom's face mask was hideous which made it all the better and from the front i can see the end of the mask n one part was almost dropping off..haha.. and there was this skull mask right it was impressive how the jaw can move along when the phantom speaks. i mean masks dont normally move when you talk right? oooh, and raoul is hot! haha..

This is an outdated post but Vidette subconsciously reminded me about the accident I witnessed on Saturday.
I was on the bus on my way to NUS. Dreary and hot, I was slouching in my seat when I witnessed a lime green car first tilting in a precarious manner. Then in a matter of a few seconds, it flipped in the air and for a nano second it was defying gravity, overturning in mid air. I could not help but to stare wide eyed and agape at the accident I just witnessed. As unglamorous as I can be, I turned berserk and hysterical as I struggled to stutter and explain incoherently to my friend, Cheryl who was sitting beside me.
The entire bus must have thought this SCGS girl was crazy, far from the image of
kim gek we are supposed to uphold, before they too realized what was happening. By then people had started to clamour around the overturned car. I could only pray that the poor guy trapped under the weight of his now dented flat car would somehow through some inexplicable miracle survive.
For some unfathomable reason I began to wonder how if it was me. How if I was the one involved in a car accident and die in the most ungraceful manner? I would have no chance to say my last goodbyes. It was depressing to think that you'll leave this world without saying those three precious words to your loved ones or you'll die still begrudging someone. Call me emotional but I can't help feeling sad over it.
On a less emo note, I managed to take a considerably up-close candid picture of the accident amidst my utter bewilderment and shock. Nonetheless it was in my phone and blame my phone for not having Infrared to transfer data to my laptop.
And vidette was also telling me that she also witnessed another different accident on that very same Thursday. Hmmm.. I guess it's true what they say about cars having more risks of car accidents as compared to planes. I don't blame Singapore government for nagging the public to put on their seatbelts.

Unique candies I stumbled upon online.. disturbing right? ;D hahaha.. I was bewildered at how humans can be so creative. creative to d extent of being so stupid to think that people will actually eat these candies.

EUWW!! imagine veggie-flavoured candy! *gasp*
AND KETCHUP???! Nestle is said to come up with other dressing soon, like mayo, thousand island etc..

HAHAH.. they even have Hersey's made from breast milk. I didnt post the picture in my blog, lest someone mistook me for a pervert :D

Went over to Caroline's house to bake brownies! (she bakes really good brownies! The fudgy chewy chocolate kind)
For an avid foodie and someone who has a predilection for chocolate over any food on this earth like me, it's kinda hard to believe that this is really my first attempt to bake something from scratch. Considering my lack of baking skills and my discerning palate for brownies, I have always opted to conventionally buy brownies from bakeries, lest I attempt to cook and ended up nauseous with food-poisoning. Sure, I've tried Betty Crocker but I can't claim that spongy brown lump it turned out to be was a brownie, or anything close to that.
Hence, that Friday afternoon baking attempt was my first. And the verdict?
SUCCESS! Haha.. She has done this more than your fingers can count so I don’t have doubts in the brownies being a success in the first place. Lol. (In case you're reading this caroline, I can't believe I just praised you TWICE in 2 paragraphs! Haha.. ego)

Btw,, you'll be a bit, okay
A LOT horrified by what goes into the brownies. It'll be best to stay nonchalant, as they say ignorance is bliss.

We tried to make peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies too! :D nonetheless as the picture speaks for itself, you can see that our initially shaped cookies turned to a huge mass or a more appropriate word, a huge glob of cookies, with bits of colourful M&Ms. Though, they’re still edible and considered quite satisfying for a first attempt. I like the peanut butter too but then again, I'm biased about peanut butter! My second predilection and weakness after chocolate.

*grin*
And I just love how her nannies cook. I am always somehow enthralled at how people seem to be able to cook with such agility and dexterity. Snap snap and a sumptuous dinner is served. I can only aspire to be a cook in my dream. *sigh* haha..
